all five rivers
are hidden deep beneath
traversing the underground
into a sunless sea
in the twilight of the fathomless depths
streams fall into gaping chasms
endlessly shaping structural patterns
remnants of primeval aeons
the only thing casting shadows
are fluorescent beings
prey of the troglobites
evolved in isolation
if you drink from its water
everything you are and
ever will be is forgotten,
meandering through
hollows and narrows
eventually floating down
into the allembracing voidance,
the relicts of time, pressure and erosion

I saw E-L-R on Tour with Wolves in the Throne Room in Münster/Germany earlier this year. Beautiful post black metal and pretty nice guys - met them by the merch table after the concert. Sælzer Bub

Imagine a warm, dark wave slowly enveloping the world around you. By the time you realize it's wrapped around your shoulders, the world falls away and you drift through endless shadow.
An amazing ambient, doom, metal thing that creeps slowly through your head and lurks behind your eyes. It's beautiful. It's abrasive. And you should surrender to it's depth for 40 minutes. mistermunn
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
