a dense, unpleasant warmth
the humid air hangs heavily
in this godforsaken nekropolis
and forlorn buildings rise
against the cavernous skies
like sharp fangs inside a critters mouth

so many doors
leading into this cage

the districts are glowing
in a faint revolting red
its contours shimmering before the eye
the city's built on several layers
of dust and bones and brickwork
it was meant to last eternally

I roam the crowded places of this city
constantly in search of honest people

hollow eyes behind insincere faces
the inner world's eclipsing the outside

and with the approaching fall of night
I loose myself in narrow alleyways

unknown constellations shining above
- cave-painted stars and stalagtites

I feel like I'm to blame
can't shake the feeling that someone's watching me
and when I turn around
to find the stalker, it is always me

in hiding places
always on the run

the sharp smell of embalming fluids stings inside my nose
the countless times I've been awakening inside these halls

the city is a maze and I try to avoid its gaze
days are becoming indistinct in this staggering daze

I watch me from a distance
hide myself from my sight
a mirrored specter
that is always on the run
I reach the city walls
as death embraces me

the journey ends where it begun

Imagine a warm, dark wave slowly enveloping the world around you. By the time you realize it's wrapped around your shoulders, the world falls away and you drift through endless shadow. An amazing ambient, doom, metal thing that creeps slowly through your head and lurks behind your eyes. It's beautiful. It's abrasive. And you should surrender to it's depth for 40 minutes. mistermunn
