TheEliteExtremophile The quiet moments are haunting with folky undertones, and the loud moments manage to be both icy and expansive. There are some rather inventive riffs and plenty of uncommon chords.

The Monolith 07:56
Something came back with me from amber planes a longing presence buried within In feverish nights when my mind fades its infinite slumber has an end Wounds - red circles on my skin Eyes - blinded by rags, covering my limbs Itches - driving me insane Fear - of the things to come of the things to come The wounds break and the flesh desintegrates dead eyes are opening on the surface I see myself through them My perception bends in grotesque ways waves of disgust pour all over me in this twisted reality The portal has opened it's in the inside I am an observer in my own body I looked over the edge of the subconscious and saw the lights of Dis I am a prisoner of my own body entombed in flesh and bones deep down from the inside a monolith is rising

Requiem 09:30
Honest and pure hearted she ruled in these dark days a gleam of hope for the enslaved called to soon into the eternal realm Struggling against the currents underneath a quiet sea at the end of the horizon are the outlines of a ragged shore As dirges echo in the streets the funeral march winds through the alleys the common folk, all dressed in black deeply mourning, seized with remorse Abandon hope all ye who enter here! As I descend the ashes and flames of the circles they reveal their true size with each step down I slide through a breach in the walls to continue my catharsis to redeem myself to experience the abysses of humanity And so I reach the deepest layers heart's opened for the purgatory and as the mind conflates into eternity I clearly feel that there is no redemption here

I've watched the setting sun beneath a broken sky I've felt the sea breeze and witnessed the change of tides I've seen you opening your eyes for the very first time But when we leave this place All of this is lost in time But when we leave this place All is lost in time I've seen the cityscapes of unimagenable size I've watched the stars fading on a tenebrous night I've felt the pain and fear - the devil in disguise But when we leave this place All of this is lost in time But when we leave this place All is lost in time And all the voices will vanish on the dusk of this epoch The scars on the surface will be covered by ashes and dust Mountains will rise and fall throughout the times We forget so easily We are forgotten so easily
